January 2013, ZSV has completed the supplies of pre-engineered steel buildings and associated items to Batam LMT facility of Caterpillar Incorporation, Indonesia.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The contract involved two buildings divided into several phases with total contract value of over 16 million USD. The scope of contract includes the design, manufacture and supply of Pre-engineered Steel Buildings. Caterpillar Inc.<\/strong><\/a> has invested a total of $150 million on the facility, which is located on Batam Island, Indonesia. The facility will be dedicated to the production of large mining truck chassis and bodies for shipment to mining customers throughout the Asia Pacific region.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are honored to secure this agreement as the supplier of steel building materials for the Caterpillar Batam facility, despite the strong competition. Our company\u2019s capability to meet the FM Global standards of this project, along with our capacity for fabrication of materials suitable for heavy-duty crane construction, contributed to the selection process,\u201d said Mr. Nawaf M. Al Zamil, Vice President of Zamil Steel’s Building Products Group on the Contract Signing Ceremony. \u201cAs always, we will do everything necessary to guarantee client satisfaction throughout the project \u2013 from design, fabrication and supply until final erection in terms of product quality and delivery schedules,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Zamil Steel Buildings Vietnam commenced the first shipment of the buildings in the third quarter of 2012 and February witnesses the completion of all product delivery. \u00a0Caterpillar project included many non-standard supplies such as Maxseam 18\u2019\u2019 0.60mm BMT AZ200 coated panels, class 4 screws, new louver blade designs, besides crane beams, canopies, catwalks, safety wire posts etc.<\/p>\n
